Cloud Solution Architect – AQskill

Cloud Solution Architect

Published 3 weeks ago

You’ll design and validate end-to-end cloud and data-center solutions with partners—spanning Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Spark, and popular OSS data stacks. You’ll translate real-world Linux/Ubuntu, networking, and services knowledge into scalable reference architectures, run enablement workshops, and co-create joint offerings for public cloud and on-prem environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect cloud and on-prem solutions using Kubernetes/Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Spark, and Linux networking.
  • Integrate OSS components (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, NGINX) into secure, resilient reference designs.
  • Co-build partner solutions for public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data centers; document best practices and validations.
  • Publish joint reference architectures, run technical validations/POCs, and produce clear implementation guides.
  • Lead onboarding sessions and hands-on workshops to upskill partner technical teams.
  • Advise on automation and operations using Python/bash; troubleshoot complex systems across the stack.
  • Champion product/solution fit with partner GTM teams; capture feedback to refine roadmaps.
  • Travel globally (up to ~30%) for sprints, workshops, and strategic partner engagements.

Ideal candidate

  • Deep experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, and infrastructure automation.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds.
  • Comfortable scripting (Python, bash) and debugging distributed systems.
  • Excellent written/spoken English with strong presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and reliable on follow-through in multi-project settings.
  • Customer-facing mindset: able to pitch, demo, and map solutions to real environments.
  • Curiosity for LXD, Juju, Snaps, and adjacent cloud-native tech.
  • STEM degree (CS/Math/Physics) or equivalent hands-on expertise.

Benefits & perks

  • Remote-first since 2004, with twice-yearly in-person team sprints.
  • Personal learning & development budget (USD $2,000/year).
  • Annual compensation review plus performance-based bonus.
  • Recognition rewards and generous annual leave.
  • Maternity and paternity leave; Employee Assistance Program.
  • Opportunities to travel for team events; Priority Pass and upgrades for long-haul company travel.
  • Fair, globally balanced compensation calibrated to location, experience, and performance.
