MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER / VIDEO EDITOR
The motion graphic designer owns the end-to-end creative lifecycle for video and motion projects; from brief and storyboard through production, post, and delivery. You’ll partner with producers, PPC, copywriters, and design to translate goals into high-impact assets for web, social, ads, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate combines creative storytelling with rigorous execution, platform fluency, and a bias for measurable performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full production of promotional videos and animated assets (brief → script/storyboard → edit/animation → export/delivery), meeting scope, milestones, and deadlines.
- Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, Stories, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and paid media; adapt concepts across channels and placements.
- Produce motion graphics: text, logo, character, and UI animations for videos, websites, emails, and ad units.
- Collaborate with producers, copywriters, PPC, and design to align creative with client goals; present work professionally and incorporate feedback.
- Encode and deliver in required formats; maintain organized project files and version control.
- Track platform trends and best practices in storytelling, editing, and social; recommend testable creative variants.
- Uphold quality standards and schedule discipline across concurrent projects.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven motion graphics and video editing experience with a portfolio of shipped work across social, ads, and YouTube.
- Proficiency in modern editing and motion tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects); graphic design/illustration/3D skills are a plus.
- Ability to write and produce short promotional videos end-to-end (scripting, storyboarding, VO direction/recording).
- Strong grasp of platform requirements and creative for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube; online advertising experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English; confident presenting to clients and stakeholders.
- Calm under pressure; able to hit tight deadlines while managing multiple deliverables.
- Availability 40 hrs/week, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. PST with reliable workstation, fast machine for editing, microphone/speakers, stable internet, and power.
- Personal camera, lighting, and a suitable shooting space; capable of recording narrations.
