You will help turn strong podcast content into polished, visually engaging episodes. The role combines creative editing with technical finishing, including refining rough cuts, colour correction, motion graphics, transitions, lower-thirds, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to elevate interview, narrative, solo, and fictional podcasts into high-quality video experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit interview, narrative, solo, and fictional podcast episodes from rough cuts, briefs, or producer direction.
  • Transform rough cuts from Descript into polished final episodes using Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Refine edits, improve pacing, and enhance the overall visual style of each show.
  • Create short-form social media edits, audiograms, and promotional video assets.
  • Source b-roll, develop visual assets, and add graphics such as lower-thirds and transitions.
  • Handle colour correction, grading, and motion graphics to improve final production quality.
  • Coordinate video files, session files, and other assets needed to complete each episode.
  • Collaborate with producers, sound designers, and post-production leads to deliver the best possible content.
  • Use tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Frame, and other editing platforms effectively.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in editing YouTube videos, podcasts, and polished digital video content.
  • Strong creative eye with the ability to improve and finish edits independently.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing clean, high-quality work.
  • Proactive in managing tasks, briefs, deadlines, and production expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with producers, hosts, editors, and creative teammates.
  • Adaptable and open to feedback, adjustments, and creative problem-solving.
  • Able to maintain the creative vision of each podcast while exceeding client expectations.

Other Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Ability to work from anywhere with a suitable editing environment and reliable internet.
  • Some working overlap with UK working hours is preferred.
  • Ability to manage files, assets, and production workflows with care and organization.
