My FOREX Story

The call that changed my life – I was minding my business some time ago when my phone rang. It was my best friend. His voice was tinged with excitement as he asked, “Bro, do you know we can start trading?”

I almost ended the call. I was smart enough to know that to start trading, you need money—to buy goods, rent a space, and so on. I was also broke enough to know I didn’t have that kind of money. And my friend? He was ambitious enough to forget that. Thank God I didn’t hang up.

Most people think like I used to—that trading only means buying and selling physical goods or services. That couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Trade began with barter. Then money came in to make things easier. Now, the world has gone digital—and so has trade. Today, it’s possible to trade virtual goods and services. The classic example? Forex.

Forex—short for foreign exchange—is a virtual market where people from around the world buy and sell currencies online. It has no physical location. Everything happens on the internet, 24 hours a day, five days a week. It’s the largest financial market in the world, with over $6 trillion traded daily. And you can be a part of it.

Like physical trading, you still need capital. But unlike the “pathetic” physical model, the capital you need here isn’t money—it’s skill. Just skill. There are firms ready to give you the liquidity (money) to trade—but first, you must prove you’ve got the skills.
