Data Scientist

Data Scientist role on the Data Science & Engineering team, focused on municipal heat-planning projects.
You’ll transform customer data, tweak Python-based heat-model algorithms, and deliver clear visual insights—all while collaborating closely with project managers and clients.
Key points
Focus area: Customer-driven municipal heat-planning projects
Core duties:
- Ingest, cleanse, and align customer data for proprietary heat models
- Modify Python algorithms/templates to fit project-specific requirements and new heat technologies
- Launch models and produce dashboards/diagrams that translate results for non-technical stakeholders
- Work with project managers & customers; track tasks in Jira (epics) under Kanban
Primary tech stack:
- Python (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Data-engineering tools: Airflow, dbt
- Databases: Postgres, duckdb, Snowflake
- Visualization: Superset and other BI tools (plus)
Methodological skills: end-to-end data-science projects, algorithm development, pattern-recognition methods
Experience & education:
- University degree + several years in data science
- Energy-sector or geospatial data background (preferred)
- German proficiency required for data navigation
Soft skills: sharp problem-solver, clear communicator, able to juggle multiple simultaneous customer projects
